Today I want to share the waterfall card I created with the cute Krafty Mice! ( it's currently on pre-order, but Kim will have more in the shop soon!)

I started with this idea that I wanted it to be the same mouse going step by step at designing a card to mail out!

Step 1 is designing the card!
then as they pull down on the black sentiment strip they go to the next step and the previous panel flips up.

Step 2 is add colour!

Step 3: Fussy Cut!

Step 4: Don't forget the glitter!

Step 5: Send the card!

It took me a while to get the hang of making one of these, and I nearly pulled my hair out, but I think it turned out pretty cute!

Here are all the panels in one photo

It's been such a fun release! I think all these sets are really fun to send out for Valentines, or any occasion!

Happy Krafting!

Kraftin Kimmie January Day 3 Peek: So Punny!

Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the January Release

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

We are so excited to share a funny, punny set

by artist

Michelle Houghton called...

SO PUNNY!

This set is filled with adorable images and sweet puns - perfect to send to a friend anytime! And think about how cute they would be for Valentines Day!! 💓You can even add little faces for even more fun!

You'll notice this awesome set coordinates with the YOU'RE A DOUGH-ABLE stamp of the month set!

Check out SO PUNNY in so many amazing creations today as you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs!  You'll also see the beautiful new stencils, GEO 1 and KRAFTY TOOLS (a layering stencil!!) along the way!

I chose the pears for today's project. I was feeling like I wanted a more muted elegant card for this one.

I started by painting the pear stamps with washes of watercolours, and then I cut them out.

I chose some P13 papers from my stash, and brown cardstock from my stash that I lightly inked with purple petunia to make the paper more of a plum colour.

I added a chipboard shape from my stash for the sentiment, backed the pears with a pretty emphemra piece in my stash, and added some krafty dots.

I really love how this one turned out! I will have a more punny/ goofy one on our Instagram hop, but I wanted to show you can make elegant ones as well!

Everything will be released after our LIVE Online Release Party TODAY!  All the fun takes place in the Krafty Friends facebook group beginning at 2 pm ET!  See you there!

Welcome back to Day TWO of our January Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!?  Are you ready for more?

artist Michelle Houghton

Check out KRAFTY GOODNESS and our new stencils in so many awesome creations today as you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs!

For today's project, I knew I wanted to figure out how to colour a row of markers in rainbow order.

I started by dry embossing the background with the Geo 1 stencil on grey cardstock, for a neutral background.

I then cut the main marker panel with my sillhouette, and cut a rectangle big enough to put my sentiment into.

I repeat stamped the copics onto this panel, and coloured with my copic's in rainbow order (oops mixed up orange and yellow).

Lastly, I added a sentiment on a rainbow pattern inked strip, and added coordinating krafty dots!

You'll see more of our January goodies all week, and then everything will be released after our LIVE Online Release Party on Saturday at 2 pm ET in the Krafty Friends facebook group!

*Be sure to join us for our Live Release Party as one lucky Facebook commenter will win Krafty $'s!!

Kraftin Kimmie Monthly Challenge 664: Winter, blue, or monochoromatic!

Good morning and welcome to our new

Monthly Saturday Challenge

Are you ready for another krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing?
We've got some fabulous ideas for you
and can't wait to see what you create!

This month the challenge themes for you are:

WINTER,

BLUE,

or

MONOCHROMATIC

You can choose any or all - whatever inspires you!

I chose to use all 3 prompts for my card!

I started by stamping and colouring Skating Friends fox and squirrel.

I then, wanted to try and figure out how to make a skating pond, I used the Breezy Backgrounds to ink the pond. I added some dark ink to the sky and light blue to the bottom of the panel. I added some white gesso splatter, and a shimmer watercolour to the bottom panel.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed in white, added some clay snowflakes and a puffy heart.

I thought they looked like a cute quirky couple having a midnight skate!

Every month we post a brand new challenge with three themes to choose from, and a mid month inspiration post with even more creative ideas! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

This month's challenge will remain open until February 3rd!

We are so excited to share our newest

Stamp Of The Month - You’re A-Doughable!

This 'sweet' set is super cute and ready to send a fun card to a special friend or decorate a very special valentine with a punny message!

This will be FREE with a $75 or more purchase at the
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop (before taxes and shipping)
during the month of January!!
*while supplies last

and as an extra special bonus, there will be a
FREE GIFT
in December if you collect all our Stamp Of The Month sets this year!

Here's a look at some of the lovely projects
the design team has come up with
using You’re A-Doughable!!

I decided it would be fun to pain a whole bunch of doughnuts!
I repeat stamped the image on watercolour paper with white embossing powder, and then painted them with some strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate colour combos.

Once the paint was dry, I added glossy accents and some clay hearts and stars to look like sprinkles.

I went for a more realistic look with this stamp set, but I also love that you can add a bit of whimsy with the smiley face.

We hope you're as excited as we are about the
January Stamp Of The Month - You’re A-Doughable!

Happy Krafting!
