My card today features the new set Storytellers! mermaid!

I decided that she needed a cave filled with books, and decorated with seashells from the previous releases Mermaid Kisses, and Be a mermaid!

The coral and little seaweed were created with dies then inked with the following Kraftin Kimmie Inks: Amazing Azure, Salty Sea, Fresh Fields, and Stormy Sky

Day 3: August Kraftin Kimmie Peek: Fall Favourites!

Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the August Release at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!

We are so excited to share a fabulous new set

by artist Sabrina van Vloten

called...

FALL FAVOURITES!

Sabrina's sweet critter friends are back with their favourite Fall treats!! If you're a fan of Fall, this is going to be a must have, and if you love these cute animals, be sure to check out more of Sabrina's sets!

I really enjoy this lovely new set by Sabrina! I love the size of these stamps, and as a lover of anything sweet this is just up my ally!

I started by inking the leafy mandela with a variety of inks: Cool Cantaloupe, Creamy Caramel, Marvellous Mocha, Rich Rust and Pumpkin Patch.

For the metallic splatters I used metallic opaque copper watercolour.

Once I was done inking I cut the panel diagonally corner by corner to make the triangle panel.

I used some pattern paper from my stash to contrast against the leafy mandela panel.

I added the slice of pie stamp which I watercoloured with Daniel smith watercolours.

I used a doily from my stash and some pretty gems.

Day 2 August Kraftin Kimmie Release: StoryTellers!

Welcome back to Day TWO of our August Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!? Are you ready for more?

I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from

STORYTELLERS!

This set has amazing and magical friends, sharing their love of reading - with so many fabulous sentiments!!

Check out STORYTELLERS! and our new stencils in so many awesome creations today as you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs!

You may have already seen these two if you participated in the Spring retreat, but I wanted to share them again!

Both of these cards were made using a fun fold called Faux Stepper taught to me by some lovely Facebook friends.

I just adore dragons so I knew I had to colour up this distinguish gentle-dragon, and the pixie reminded me of some certain pixies from A magical boy series!

I hope you enjoy Storytellers as much as I do! I enjoyed this set so much I may have another project featuring one of the magical creatures for the shop and hop (shhh! Don’t tell anyone it’s a secret!)

You'll see more of our August goodies all week, and then everything will be released after our LIVE Online Release Party on Saturday at 2 pm ET in the Krafty Friends facebook group!

Day 1 August Kraftin Kimmie Release: Lost in a book

Who's ready for lots of brand new Krafty goodies?!

It's time for our August Release Peeks to begin

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we have an amazing book and tea lover set

and it's called.....

LOST IN A BOOK!

You'll find lots of book images as well as a sweet teapot and cup and several awesome quotes in this set!

As you hop around the design team's blogs today you'll be able to check out LOST IN A BOOK! in action in combination with our other new

August Kraftin' Kimmie products!

We've also got TWO new Krafty Stencils for this month's release to help add some funky fun to your creations!

They are called....
LEAFY MANDALA

and

PERFECT PIES

(a 2 piece layering stencil!)

Both designs are perfect for all your cards, scrapbook pages, mixed media and more!

I chose to make a mini slimline card based off a new favourite skirt I own!

The skirt has these little plants and cups all over it, with a mix of teal, green, black and white for a clean graphic look.

I first repeat stamped the plant and coffee cup with Wicked Black Ink, then coloured around each image with BG13 Copic.

After that was dry I came in with G17 Copic and some fine liners to decorate each plant and cup.

I added it to some black die cut trim, added the sentiment on a vellum circle, and then placed that on top of my card bases.

I finished it off by adding gems.

This was so much fun to do and I think it matches the skirt pretty closely!

Kraftin Kimmie challenge 671: Tags/ and or fall!

Good morning and welcome to our new

Monthly Saturday Challenge

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Are you ready for another krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing?

We've got some fabulous ideas for you

and can't wait to see what you create!

This month our Saturday Challenge themes for you are:

TAGS and/or FALL!

You can choose one or both - whatever inspires you!

I chose to combine the two themes to make a fall tag!

I stared by cutting my tag out of a very light pattern paper, and inking the Falling Leaves Stencil.

I then coloured up a little Mini Mew, and her Autumn Pumpkins.

This tag came together easily and hope she brings you nice autumnal vibes!

We also have a new Ink Of The Month, which will be on sale all month long!! This month features the gorgeous Mostly Melon Ink Pad, Ink Cube and Reinker! Grab it now to add to your collection..

Krafty Girl Rosie is up first, and we will be back later in the month with a mid-inspiration post!

Every month we post a brand new challenge with a choice of themes to choose from, and a mid month inspiration post with even more creative ideas! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Kraftin Kimmie July Scrappy Challenge!

Good morning krafty friends!

It's August, and that means it's time for a brand new

SKRAPPY CHALLENGE

with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card!
So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

Here's some fabulous inspiration from our Design Team this month!

I challenged myself to make a mix media-collage tag, featuring the ever charming stamp set Our Farm!

I started by adding pattern paper collages onto the Tim Holtz Thickboard tag.

I then cut out the little scene from my P13 paper and glued it to the bottom.

I distressed the edges using Marvellous Mocha, and some crackle paste.

While that was drying I painted with my watercolours the little farm girl and some bushes to add to the bottom scene.

I added a sentiment from the stamp set Happiness is homemade, along with some stickers, and enamel dots.

Lastly I added the ribbon to the top.

This tag was a labour of love, and I it wont be the last time I dabble in this mix media Krafty Adventure!
