Kraftin Kimmie Saturday Challenge: Inspired by a movie or song!

Good morning and welcome to another

fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps !

Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing?

We've got some fabulous ideas for you

This week, Krafty Girl Patti is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is:

INSPIRED BY A SONG OR MOVIE!

I have a love for Disney movies, and wanted to create a card base off one of my favorite's Cinderella!

I first started with the background inking with: Purple Pansy, Lavish Lilac, Whimsical Wisteria, Bubbly Blue, and Stormy Sky. This created a magical look for my background panel.

I then took it over to my silhouette and cut out the panel with some punched out stars (which I backed with silver foil paper), and cut out my images to colour.

Combining Autumn Pumpkins, and You Give Me Wings for the stamped images, along with the sentiment from Too Cute to Spook made for a whimsical slimline project!

I hope you will play along!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Kraftin Kimmie October Shop and Hop! The release is here!

Woohoo!!!

Today we are celebrating all the new fabulous goodies in our October Release that are NOW available in the

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!

I tried a new fun fold for this card, using the new North Pole Helpers workshop!

I added a sentiment from Moosel-Toe, and made sure to add plenty of snow with liquid aplique.

This fold is a great way to use some of your paper stash, or maybe some of the new Kaiser Kraft pattern paper in the October-add-on-bundle!

All THREE of our new stamp sets, plus two new stencils and the ADD-ON BUNDLE,

and we're excited to share it ALL with you in a fabulous krafty HOP!

Day 3 of the October Kraftin Kimmie Peek: North Pole Helpers!

Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the October Release

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

NORTH POLE HELPERS!

This amazing Christmas stamp set features two sweet helper elves, fun shops and accessories - and it coordinates with the Santa's Village set released last month!!

As you hop around the design team's blogs today you'll be able to check out NORTH POLE HELPERS! in action in combination with a lot of our other new October Kraftin' Kimmie products!

I have been wanting to decorate gift bags for a long time and I'm excited to say this stamp set worked perfectly with what I had in mind.

I first, repeat stamped the wrapping station and the bauble tree in Midnight Magic.

I then coloured each building with only 3 copics (R89, B99, and BG49), and used a white gel pen.

Next I inked up the new classic circle stencil with white pigment ink, and then stamped the trees, and present (from Pawsome Holiday). I felt like the bag needed a sentiment so I dug through my stash and pulled out the sentiment from shake it up.

Lastly, I had to add a bit of stickles!

I love how the colours and stamps look on the kraft bag, and I will definitely be decorating more gift bags in my future!

Of course today is also challenge day and as always during release week, it's Anything Goes! So create a card, scrapbook page, altered item, planner page....with some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products for your chance to WIN the monthly prize!

Kraftin Kimmie October Peek Day 2: Pawsome Holiday!

Welcome back to Day TWO of our October Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!? Are you ready for more?

I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from

PAWSOME HOLIDAY!

This adorable set features a super cute puppy tree, accessories and so many 'pawsome' sentiments!!

Check out PAWSOME HOLIDAY! in so many awesome creations today as you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs! You'll also see the new stencils and Add-On bundle along the way!

I had so much fun inking the new gift galore to create my background! I started by inking the stencil with the following ink: Salty Sea, Lovely Lagoon, Midnight Magic. I then added little pawprints from another stamp set in granite grey.

I added stickles to the bows on the present so that it had a little glitz!

I coloured up the image to look like a little husky puppy and added the sentiment in a curve on the top and bottom. to add a little contrast I inked the scallop circle with Midnight Magic ink.

Lastly, I added a ribbon that matched in my stash, and 2 little glitter snowflakes.

Being a Vet Nurse I know I'll be using this stamp set loads during the holiday season!

Today I wanted to share a simple sympathy card using the Falling Leaves stencil and our inks. I also added some Krafty dots.

I thought the simplicity of this card made for a more masculine or gender neutral card.

Kraftin Kimmie Saturday Challenge: Embossing!

Good morning and welcome to another

fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps !

Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing?

We've got some fabulous ideas for you

and can't wait to see what you create!

This week, Krafty Girl Rosie is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is:

EMBOSSING!

I chose the stencil Mermaid scales to dry emboss my watercolour panel. I then flipped the panel over to use the debossed side, and sprinkled Nuvo shimmer powders over the panel and hosed down with water. This added a bit of iridescent shimmer to the background that was perfect for a mermaid to hang out on.

I die cut a circle from the middle of the panel, and then added a transparency film behind it, to make it a shaker window. I added loads of foam tape and then add sequins from my stash.

I cut a hole through my card so that the see through panel went all the way through my card.

I then coloured up the darling, Mermaid Friends Stamp Set in one of my favorite colour combos.

I really wanted her to be sitting on something, so I used some die cuts to make a bed of seaweed for her to sit on.

The sentiment in the window was stamped in pigment ink with one of the sentiments from the Oceans Of Love stamp set.

I hope this inspires you to pull out some stencils, sequins, and a fun mermaid set!

I cannot resist a cute little penguin stamp!

This adorable penguin was watercoloured with my Daniel Smith paints, I then added some glitter over top.

For my tag I first prepped it with an acrylic glaze (which I let sit overnight) once the glaze is dry it makes the surface non absorbent.

I then was able to use my distress alcohol inks overtop to add colour to the base.

I heat embossed the sentiment added a little silver heart and snowflake.

Once that was done I punched a hole with my cropadile and added an assortment of ribbon, twin and thread to make the loop for the tag.

This is definitely a special christmas tag/ ornament I will be using for my penguin loving mother (shhh don't tell her) this Christmas!
