This month our Saturday Challenge themes for you are: 

Layers & Gifts!

You can choose one or both - whatever inspires you!

I chose to make a series of cards with more than one layer.

The sketch I used was inspired by Crafty Al Sheetload of cards! It was a fun way to use up some scraps!

I then coloured up Wish Upon a Star for my main image.

For the sentiment I chose one from Majestic Mountains stamp set.

Every month we post a brand new challenge with two themes to choose from, and a mid month inspiration post with even more creative ideas! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

Kraftin Kimmie November Hop and Shop!

The new snowman stencil is so much fun, and very easy to use to make a quick card! 

I was in the mood to ink on Kraft for a more vintage vibe.

Ink used: Lawn Fawn Yeti Pigment White ink for the snow 

Hat, buttons eyes Wicked Black

Scarf and hat ribbon Aqua Adventure

Carrot nose Creamy Caramel

Stick arms Marvellous Mocha

The sentiment is from Snowy Village.

This card took less than half an hour to make and I love it!

November Kraftin Kimmie Sneak Peek: Icy Penguin Pals!

 Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the November Release 

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

We are so excited to share a fabulous new set

Icy Penguin Pals!

Our penguin friends are back again, and this time they are celebrating winter with warm wishes! They're sporting tiny skates and this set has a frozen pond and accessories!

Check out Icy Penguin Pals in so many amazing creations today as you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs!  You'll also see the beautiful new stencils, Build a Snowman and the Ugly Sweaters Layering Stencil along the way! 

 I’ve been in a bit of a crafty rut, and sometimes when this happens I try something outside the box.

I thought wouldn’t it be cool instead of putting these penguins in a standard circle or square frame, that I masked them onto snowflake shapes. 

I then decided that the white snowflakes were a bit boring, so using the ink of the month Aqua Adventure, I first inked the snowflakes then stamped the penguins. 

I then chose darker markers to colour over the aqua adventure. 

I designed the main panel of my card with the snowflakes from Season’s Tweetings as I thought they were a pretty close match. I stamped them with Magical Midnight, Berry Bliss, Aqua Adventure and silver embossing. 

I love how easy it was to create some matching pattern paper. 

Lastly I added a touch of silver to each snowflake using a silver gel pen, and some silver pearls. 

I think it turned out ok, and got me thinking of new techniques! 

Everything will be released after our LIVE Online Release Party TODAY!  All the fun takes place in the Krafty Friends facebook group beginning at 2 pm ET!  See you there!

Day 2 Kraftin Kimmie Sneak Peek: Snowy Village!

   Welcome back to Day TWO of our November Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!?  Are you ready for more?

I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from

Snowy Village! 

These lovely holiday homes and village accessories are perfect to build wonderful winter scenes on your cards and scrapbook pages!

For todays Peek I decided to keep it simple. I stamped the houses across from one another, then accessorize each house with some trees, lights, and the mailbox.

I then decided on a colour combo of fuchsia, teal, and green Copics.

I added white gel pen for my snow, then added 2 sentiments from the set using Berry bold and Lovely Lagoon 

You'll see more of our November goodies all week, and then everything will be released after our LIVE Online Release Party on Saturday at 2 pm ET in the Krafty Friends facebook group!

For todays release I pulled out my watercolours to make a little bridge scene card!

I first used our pond stamp from sweater weather and white embossed the pond lines, then splashed on some shimmery watercolours.

I painted three of Sabrina’s whimsical animals and some of the background accessories in this set, then glued them to the pond which acts like my bridge.

I decided to use the ugly sweater stencil for my pattern paper that goes inside the back of the card, trying to match it to the chevron pattern paper. 

This fun fold displays nicely on a shelf but can be mailed flat which is great!

Here is some inspiration from our Design Team using the adorable Toasty Wishes stamp set!

I must admit I’m not a traditional red and green fan as I think I see so much of it at Christmas that I’m sick of it.

I do love Teal/ aqua and red though, so this makes my heart much happier.

I used Granite Grey ink with the Brick Wall Stencil to add a wall behind the fire place. 

I also stamped the sentiment in Crisp Crimson. 

Completed the card with stickers from my stash and pattern paper.
