Kraftin Kimmie Mid Month challenge inspiration post

Masculine and/or Outdoor Activities!

You can choose one or both...whatever inspires YOU!

Krafty Girl Patti is hosting the mid-inspiration post today!

I used our new Tan Lines and Good Times stamp set to make a beachy card using the masculine/ boy parameters, and of course he is collecting sea shells for his outdoor activity.

Summer beach/ lake days are my fav, so wish I was helping him collect them.

I combined our stamp with ephemera from Simply Stated designs, and Mintay. To create a little scene.

It made for a quick but fun card!

Here is the low down on the rules for playing with our challenge.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Our Challenges are now combined with the

Skrappy Challenge (first Tuesday of the Month)

June Krafty Peek Day 4: Good Times and Tan Lines

Good morning and welcome to our FINAL day of
June Krafty Peeks!

Today we are revealing our last stamp set which will be releasing tomorrow afternoon at 3pm ET!

This one is from artist Neda Sadreddin and is called

GOOD TIMES & TAN LINES!

It's the perfect summer stamp set with these adorable kiddos!
Who wants to hang out at the beach or the pool??
Let's go splish splashing!

As you head out on today's hop you'll get to enjoy so many fabulous designs from our Krafty Team and Krafty Guests!

To say this one was a labor of love is an understatement!

It took me 9 hours to complete (minus about 20 minutes to eat some food).

I first had the idea to design a frame in my silhouette (like all the fun die cuts I see) and that took quite a bit of time to design.

I then created the ocean background for the little cutie using our Krafty Scenery 3 Stencil to go behind her.

Using the following inks:Sandy Shore, Aqua Adventure,Salty Sea, Lovely Lagoon and Morning Marigold.

I stamped the girl in Creamy Caramel

After colouring up the little girl, I knew I wanted to add a pattern to her bathing suit, so I heat embossed with the tiny little flowers from the Tiny Tea Party stamp set. This bathing suit reminds me of one I wore as a child!

Lastly I die cut out the word sunny with my silhouette and heat embossed the other part of the sentiment from this stamp set.

So although it doesn’t look like a card that should have taken me 9 hours, I’m still so happy with how it turned out! Bonus I saved this frame due cut and can use it any other time!

June Krafty Peeks Day 3: Sum Sum Summertime!

Good morning and welcome to Day THREE
of our June Krafty Peeks!

It's called SUM-SUM-SUMMERTIME!

Today we are sharing a KRAFTY KOMEBACK stamp set!

For those who are new around these parts, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps will be celebrating 15 years this fall so we have a lot of retired images most people have never seen before! (And there are lots of requests for past stamp sets!) So once in a while we bring a set back and this one will be back this weekend!

AND check out this scrumptious new coordinating stencil!

It's called I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM!!!

It's a set of TWO layering stencils to create this colourful summertime background! Yummy!

I love summer, and wanted to create a vibrant 80's/ 90's themed colour palette for this release.

I started by cutting out all the images (excluding the sand castle as it was too big for the card) and scattering them along the background of my 5x5 panel. Then using only 6 markers I coloured each image with them, and added some pop dots.

I wanted a flat colour look like you see on graphic tee-shirts, and it was very therapeutic to not worry about blending when I had this many images to colour.

After I was done adding each image I cut around the outside so it looks like some images were being continued off the side of the card.

I then matted the card with a hot pink and bright yellow, and used the aqua and teal for my sentiment strips.

Sometimes it's fun to go back to something simple (at least simple for me) colouring when you have had a hard day at work.

June Krafty Peeks Day 2: I Bee-lieve in you!

Welcome back!

Did you enjoy yesterday's Peeks?
Well, we are back with MORE fun stuff!

Today we are spotlighting a new stamp set from artist Sabrina van Vloten called I BEE-lieve in YOU!

Look at those adorable fluffy bee bums!!

As you head out on today's Krafty Hop you'll get to enjoy lots of gorgeous creations from our Krafty Team featuring I BEE-lieve in YOU! and our incredibly adorable new BUMBLEBEE set of layering stencils in combination with some of our other incredible products such as our Krafty Kolours Hybrid Inks!

Eeeeee! these bees are so cute! I have to admit Bumble Bees are my favourite bug as I love how sweet natured they are.

I'm not one to love gardening but when I'm out there I'm definitely chatting away with the Bumble Bees when I see one.

I chose a soft Purple, Honey, and Brown colour palette for my card this release. I was particularly inspired to use purple as the colour of the month is Purple Pansy!

I originally came up with a little story about these Bumble Bees enjoying a spot of honey with tea, and set out to make a card based on that story.

I made the tea cup from a Silhouette design file and had the one bee adding his honey to the tea cup.

I hope you are all a Buzz about this new release, again Sabrina's stamps are the bees knees!

June Krafty peek day 1: Floral Fun!

Who's ready for some brand new Krafty Goodies?

It's time to bring you NEW stamp sets and layering stencils
from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

In case you haven't heard, we are moving the release to every other month but the same number of wonderful products!

So we will be sharing FOUR new stamp sets (including a summer Krafty Komeback) and TWO new sets of layering stencils over the course of this week!

Today we are excited to kick things off with a stunning and elegant stamp set from artist Michelle Houghton called
FLORAL FUN!!

As you head out on today's Krafty Hop you'll get to enjoy lots of gorgeous creations from our Krafty Team featuring FLORAL FUN in combination with some of our other incredible products such as our Krafty Kolours Hybrid Inks!

I created this fun corner fold for the Spring Retreat, by colouring up the daffodil with our Kraftin Kimmie inks with a waterbrush pen. Yes you can really watercolour with our Kraftin Kimmie Inks!

Colours used are: Yummy Yellow, Sandy Shores, Marvelous Mocha, Fresh Fields and Soft Sage.

I know that I'll be using this great stamp set for future cards, it's fun to colour up the images and I've totally been inspired by the different ways I've seen my Kraftin Kimmie Team use them!

June Skrappy Kraftin Kimmie Challenge

Good morning, my Krafty Friends!

It's JUNE and that means it's time for a new
Skrappy Challenge
at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card! So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

Just make sure to include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products and make sure it's a new creation!

There are two ways to enter: you can link up your creation on the Kraftin’ Kimmie blog page (at the bottom of this page) and/or upload your photo to the June album in our Krafty Friends FB group.

It’s been a bit since I decorated a gift bag. This one is based on the banana’s from Fruity Fun and the monkeys + accessory stamp from Monkey Business .

When colouring on a Kraft gift bag, I need to remember that light colours do not really work with anything that doesn’t have any opacity (Ie: do not use light Copics on them) but I think it still turned out cute.

I was going to add Monkey business directly to the bag, but realized that I had already half made this tag last month, so I finished it and added to the bag.

You have until June 30th to enter, and you can submit as many new creations as you like for more chances to WIN! Also be sure to share your designs on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps' Krafty Friends facebook page because we love to see your stuff!
