This week, Krafty Girl Rosie is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is:
EMBOSSING!
I chose the stencil Mermaid scales to dry emboss my watercolour panel. I then flipped the panel over to use the debossed side, and sprinkled Nuvo shimmer powders over the panel and hosed down with water. This added a bit of iridescent shimmer to the background that was perfect for a mermaid to hang out on.
I die cut a circle from the middle of the panel, and then added a transparency film behind it, to make it a shaker window. I added loads of foam tape and then add sequins from my stash.
I cut a hole through my card so that the see through panel went all the way through my card.
I then coloured up the darling, Mermaid Friends Stamp Set in one of my favorite colour combos.
I really wanted her to be sitting on something, so I used some die cuts to make a bed of seaweed for her to sit on.
The sentiment in the window was stamped in pigment ink with one of the sentiments from the Oceans Of Love stamp set.
I hope this inspires you to pull out some stencils, sequins, and a fun mermaid set!
