I created a scene card using both the S'more Fun and Sweet and Spooky stamp sets. I thought why can't ghosties have a campfire! 

I started by inking my background panel with Lavish Lilac, Whimsical Wisteria. I then took our Chubby Cloud stencil and inked with Alluring Amethyst and Wicked Black for some dark stormy clouds.

I then created the bottom of the card with Charming Chartreuse , Mossy Meadows, and Wicked Black. 

I then coloured up the stamps and added them to the panel. I thought that embers should be coming up from the campfire so I added dots with gel pens. 

My ghosties got a little darker than I was hoping, but my mom pointed out, "who stays clean when sitting around the campfires" 

Lastly, I added the sentiment and some gems. I'm proud that I'm making more scene cards.

Kraftin Kimmie August Release Day 4: Hey There Punkin’

 Good morning and welcome to our
FINAL day of AUGUST Krafty Peeks!

Today we are revealing our last stamp set which will be releasing tomorrow afternoon at 3pm ET along with all our other stamp sets and stencils!

Today we are revealing...a Krafty Komeback!!

It's called HEY THERE, PUNKIN'! It was originally released in 2014!

For those who are new around these parts, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps will be celebrating 15 years this fall so we have a lot of retired images most people have never seen before!  (And there are lots of requests for past stamp sets!) So once in a while we bring a set back and this one will be back this weekend!

This spooky image was so much fun colouring up! I actually popped up the vampire, pumpkin, and pupper on a second layer (hard to photograph unfortunately) 

Fussy cutting is not my strong suit, but I really wanted a 3D look.

After colouring up my image, I decided to make an embossed background using our Brick wall stencil and Granite Grey Ink.

I then shaded all my layers with Wicked black to add a bit of a distress look. 

This will be a fun stamp to use for all your little vampires in your life!

Kraftin Kimmie August Release Day 3: Sweet and Spooky!

 Good morning and welcome to
 Day THREE
of our August Krafty Peeks!

If you've been with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps any amount of time, you know that August is always our Fall/Halloween Release so that you have lots of time to order, receive and create your new goodies for the season!

So today we have an adorable new Halloween stamp set for you by artist Sabrina van Vloten called

SWEET & SPOOKY!

AND check out this scrumptious new coordinating stencil!

It's called HERE FOR THE CANDY!!!

It's a set of TWO layering stencils to create this colourful and delicious background!  Yummy!

I first worked on my background with Lavish Lilac, Tempting Tangerine, Morning Marigold , and Alluring Amethyst through our lovely new Here for the candy stencil.

I spritz with Tim Holtz sprays to add some shimmer, and added sparkly watercolours with Toe Beans Hobbies from Etsy. 

I coloured the Witch boo ghostie, and her pumpkin, then added it to a wreath die cut and added ephemera!

I’m so happy I have some cute Sabrina Ghosties! Cuter the better IMHO!

Inspirational Wednesday: Narly Dude!

 Hello Everyone!

It’s my turn to host inspirational Wednesday at Kraftin Kimmie stamps!

Narly Dude is 40% off this week! 

I love scene cards, although they do take a bit of time to make, I feel like they make a big impact! 

I started by inking up a light brown cardstock to make the sandy bottom using Sandy Shores and Marvellous Mocha ink with the Krafty Scenery 4 Stencil.

I then masked off the top sandy bank and inked up the top part of the panel using Tranquil Teal, Sparkling Sapphire,  and Magical Midnight ink.

I wanted to add a little bit of movement on my card by using the Underwater Scenery Stencil with my Marvellous Mocha and Sparkling Sapphire ink. 

I felt that I lost a little bit of definition so I used a copic to add some veins in the seaweed/ coral.

Afterwards, I inked the second part of the underwater scenery stencil to add some bubbles. 

I then coloured my Narwhals after inking them up with Sandy Shore ink. After colouring I added a bit of shimmer using my Toebeanshobbies shimmer watercolours on the narwhals! 

Lastly, I added a sentiment and some orange coral to match my Narwhals. I spritz some sparkly shimmer and sequins. 

I’m pretty happy how this one turned out and I'm glad I went outside of my comfort zone to create this card.

Kraftin Kimmie August Release Day 1: S’more Fun!

 Who's ready for some brand NEW Krafty Goodies?

It's time to bring you NEW stamp sets and layering stencils
from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

In case you haven't heard, we have moved the releases to every other month but the same number of wonderful products!

So we will be sharing FOUR new stamp sets (including an Autumn Krafty Komeback) and TWO new sets of stencils over the course of this week!

Today we are SO excited to kick things off with a sweet and toasty stamp set from artist Neda Sadreddin called 
S'MORE FUN!!  

As you head out on today's Krafty Hop you'll get to enjoy lots of amazing creations from our Krafty Team featuring S'MORE FUN and our totally unique new OUT OF THIS WORLD stencil in combination with some of our other incredible products such as our Krafty Kolours Hybrid Inks!

 

 

For today's inspiration I wanted to make a card featuring the cutest little outdoorsy girl, and the accessory stamps to make a camping scene.

I started by cutting a hole in the pattern paper so I could design my scene in the background. 

I then inked blended 2 little hills and the sky using: Blue Bay, Original Olive, Fresh Fields inks. 

I added a circle frame that I inked blended with our ink of the month Tempting Tangerine, and spritz Tim Holtz Mulled Cider Mica spray, and the new Fossilized amber spritz for a shimmery look.

I stamped all of my images in Totally Taupe and coloured in no lines technique matching my pattern paper. To add a little bit of gold gel pen to the fire to make it look a little shimmery and match the gold buttons on the girls shirt. 

I then stamped the sentiment in Rich Rust (my favorite brown). 

I added some glitz with some gems!

My family loves to camp (well more like glamping in a trailer), so this stamp set will be used a lot! I cannot wait to combine it with other stamp sets!

August Saturday Kraftin Kimmie challenge

New Monthly Challenge
at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Are you ready for another krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative mojo going? We've got some fabulous prompts for you and can't wait to see what YOU create!

This month our challenge themes for you are:

Drinks/Fruits/Veggies and/or Farm

You can choose one theme or combine them!
Enter as many times as you like all month long!
It's a Choose Your Own Krafty Adventure!

I chose to combine Fall Favourites for the drink prompt, combined with Fruity fun (for Danielle prompt of fruit).

My original idea was the cherry’s were on top of the drink but I kind of got stuck when the idea didn’t pan out. 

So I had to compromise and put them on the bottom. I still think it works, although not what I envisioned, and that’s ok.

I chose a combo of pattern paper to complement my colouring (it reminds me of a go to colour palette I used to use all the time). 

Lastly added a sentiment from Floral fun. 

Every month we post a brand new challenge with a choice of themes to choose from, and a mid month inspiration post with even more creative ideas! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Here is I LOVE AUTUMN!

For this months card I wanted to definitely capture the rich bold colours of fall! I started by looking through my stash of pattern paper (this one is a retired Simply Stated Designs paper), I then decided to try and incorporate all the colours of the paper onto my stamped panel.

I created a reverse easel card, just something a bit more than a typical A2, and kept it simple by adding some ephemera from 49 and market.
